Handmade for the Holidays: Décor for Your Door

Saturday, Dec. 5th: 1 pm EST Virtual Event

Now in its 34th year, Monticello’s annual Wreath Workshop is an absolute fan favorite!

The now-virtual workshop will again be led by veteran Monticello Guide and Floral Designer, Lou Hatch. Hatch, who is responsible for the design and installation of Monticello’s holiday decorations, is a beloved wreath workshop instructor whose in-person classes quickly fill to capacity.

This year’s event adds exciting elements to the program, including guided instruction on three different styles of wreaths: Traditional, Natural and Modern. During the class, Hatch will walk you through the creation of a beautiful door decoration that will last throughout the season.

A special welcome to new class participants — from California to Carolina! We’re delighted to make this popular event available for the first time to everyone, from wherever you may be.

All ticketholders receive class instructions, a proprietary shopping list of wreath materials and tips to get the most of your class experience approximately 2 weeks prior to the event date.

A limited number of curated kits with all materials required to create your wreath are available for purchase through our Shop at Monticello. These kits contain everything you need to make your holiday wreath, with materials hand-gathered at Monticello and throughout central Virginia. Kits are available for pick-up only and are subject to availability as quantity is limited. Information on purchasing these kits will provided at the time of ticket purchase.rtain restrictions apply
