Saturday, September 21

Please allow at least 20 minutes for travel time from the Visitor Center to the Mountaintop.

The festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Space on the shuttle buses is limited; we recommend traveling light. Pets are not permitted on the shuttle buses nor at the festival.

Friday, September 20

For all Workshops and Walkabouts on Friday, September 20, free parking will be available at Monticello’s David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center.

Directions

From Washington, D.C. and points North:

Take Interstate 66 West to U.S. 29 South at Gainesville. Follow U.S. 29 South into Charlottesville and look for the signs for the U.S. 250 West/U.S. 29 South Bypass. Follow this bypass to Interstate 64 East (direction Richmond). Take Interstate 64 East and get off at Exit 121A onto Va. Route 20 South (direction Scottsville). Turn onto Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway).  Follow signs to Monticello and turn right into the Monticello entrance.

From Richmond and points East:

Take Interstate 64 West to Exit 121 at Charlottesville. At the end of the exit ramp turn left onto Va. Route 20 South. Turn onto Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway).  Follow signs to Monticello and turn right into the Monticello entrance.

From Lynchburg and points South:

Take U.S. 29 North to Charlottesville. Take Interstate 64 East (direction Richmond) and get off at Exit 121A onto Va. Route 20 South (direction Scottsville). Turn onto Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway).  Follow signs to Monticello and turn right into the Monticello entrance.

From Staunton and points West:

Take Interstate 64 East to Charlottesville and get off at Exit 121A onto Va. Route 20 South (direction Scottsville). Turn onto Route 53 (Thomas Jefferson Parkway).  Follow signs to Monticello and turn right into the Monticello entrance.
