Monticello VP, Visitor Programs and Services
Gary Sandling

Gary Sandling is Monticello’s Vice President of Visitor Programs and Services. He has worked in the museum and public history fields for more than twenty years, first at Colonial Williamsburg (where, yes, he wore ‘funny clothes’) Since 2005, Sandling helps plan, produce and evaluate Monticello’s public programs onsite and digital offerings to our growing offsite audiences.  He loves learning from the many talented and fascinating people who help connect aspects of the past to our lives in the present – especially if there are cocktails involved!
