Kevin West is the author of “Saving the Season: A Cook’s Guide to Home Canning, Pickling, and Preserving,” as well as a contributor to “Edna Lewis: At the Table with an American Original” and a special correspondent for Travel + Leisure and Departures magazines. He is also a food consultant with clients on both coasts, including Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles, where he was creative director from 2012–2016 and co-author of “The Grand Central Market Cookbook.”
From cookbook author to food consultant, travel writer to avid grower and gardener, West has recently turned his attention to a new writing project scheduled for release next year. “Cooking From the Garden” will be a practical guide to growing vegetables at home and cooking with homegrown produce. The book will feature growing and gardening tips, fresh and delicious recipes and will highlight a curated selection of farms and gardens across America.
